Our next door neighbours have partially adopted this big, fluffy, beautiful thing (i.e. they are feeding her but not much more). Being a typical cat, she thinks that as she is welcome at the neighbours then she's also free to wander into our place as and when she likes. This is not going down well with our resident cat and this photo is a quick snap taken as we sneak her out of the back door before Missy returns at the front.

Gypsy and Minnie, mother and daughter 1 week in from being brought back from the cat rescue. Still settling. Theyve not had an easy life up until now, found on the street and Gypsy lost 2 of her 3 kittens so they are both wary. Little by little though they'll relax it's just going to take time

Having started to watch some TV recently Frida has found the joys of a warm Sky box... though I'm utterly convinced she's doing it to spite me as she constantly turns the channel over then covers the sensor with her paws so I can't turn it back!

We’ve had an eventful and expensive couple of days, picked him up for a cuddle and he jumped and landed funny, drove around trying to find a vet and the only one open after 7:00pm advised it’d probably cost 8-9k and amputation would be a option worth considering. (My stupid fault for not getting round to registering him at a vets or insuring him)

Got referred to a specialist this morning so spent all last night wide awake thinking of the quickest way to sell my car would be, the specialist turned out to be a absolute hero and said it was a fairly common injury and got him straight in and sorted for £830 which seems more than reasonable, just so releaved to have him home even thought he is a bit bitey tonight.

So yes, I’m the idiot that didn’t insure his kitten, lesson very much learned and will be getting that sorted ASAP.

Also, if you have another cat, keep them in regular (daily) contact. When my smallest one got run over (fractured pelvis) I had to keep her in a cage for 4 weeks cage rest. Let out of the cage on week 3 for a stroll, bigger cat hissed and growled at her - they forget the scent apparently and treat their siblings as an interloper.

Just got the one, he keeps trying to leg it when we open for door to give him a fuss so trying to keep him in there for three weeks should be a mission!

Had to keep one in a cage for a few months after a hit from a car and treatment. House move at the same time, both working odd shifts so usually someone around to keep him company. Got hit at three, made it to 19.

Got to the point where the vet said light exercise on a lead......

A while back, our rag doll sliced himself open from boulder to hip - internal organs were showing. We were told to keep him in a cage when he cam back from surgery. The first night he forced the roof off it, jumped out and budgeted off out the catflap. He wandered back 18 hours later and demanded to be fed. We decided that we probably couldn’t keep him contained.

Beauty has to be caged for a week/10 days after she fell & hurt her back (she's blind, slipped and landed on her back in the porcelain water bowl)

Having seen her climb the cage the Vet had her in, using the 'ceiling' like it was a monkey bar trail, we decided we'd need a soft crate rather than bars! We bought 2 of these & joined them together at the doors with cable ties so she didn't have to sleep/eat next to her litter tray, we put them on their side so there was less height.

Took up most of the living room laugh

Hope he is better soon

I've been thinking about poor Barnabus. How about using an old wardrobe/chest of drawers turned on their side and making a hinged front door - cut out a panel and back with Perspex? Look on the free sites/groups and local recycling centre (tip). Or if you've an alcove in the living room use this space and make him a roof and door?

That’s a decent idea, he’s tried to run past us when you open his door but managed to contain him so far, we’ve got a tiny box bedroom about 6 foot square so I was going to ask the vets if we could stick him in there as there’s nothing to climb up and it’s carpeted so he won’t slip over

He needs to have company though, living area would be better as he's near you. Just leave a radio/TV on when you're not home.
