My 2 having a Saturday morning cuddle.

Toffee (the tortie), was showing off her hunting skills to a friend of mine last night... she brought 3 mice in during dinner.

19 years ago we got Sasha and Socks from the RSPCA. Sasha was 18 months old and Socks about 12 months.

Sasha unfortunately died last year, this was her in her old age-

And this is Socks recently, she's still going at around 20...

Old kitties are just brilliant. By that time you really know each other and they are such wonderful companions. Our 'gone but still with us' oldies were 17, 22 and 23 so Socks probably still has a few years yet! cloud9

Bags and boxes are perfect cat traps biggrin Try a circle of string, that's hilarious!

Anyhoo, first pic I think of all 5 of the furry idiots together today. cloud9

Our little Sasha used to do the box thing. This is her sleeping in the basket from the wife's bike. We use it to store spare plastic bags but she turfed them out to make a nest.

Aww look at them all snuggled. Bliss. Mine will only come together when there’s food involved.

Fine dining

More likely to snuggle with one of the dogs

Earlier this week I spent much of the morning black leading the wood burner and getting it presentable for the winter. I then artistically built a little pile of logs on the side and laid the fire ready for the first blaze of the year.

My cat Buddy watches all this with interest from his current perch on the back of the sofa up against a radiator, and then when I'm done readies himself in anticipation on the rug in front of the fireplace. He was there from about 11 am to 8 in the evening. I had decided not to light the fire quite yet, so his wait was all in vain.

Finally he gets up on my lap, shouts in my face and gives me one if those 'come on if you think you're hard enough' looks. After 15 years living with him you really start to wonder who is in charge.

The tipped ear means that the street cat has been TNR'd (Tagged, Neutered & Released).
One of my dipst Arabian Mau's has the tipped ear as well, the other one hasn't even though he is a former street cat too.

Well I'm 5'8" ish and 10.5 ish stone and if he lies on me he will go from my waist to my chin without even stretching out. I don't think he's that big, it's the camera angle a bit.
