Smokey watching her peeps in the kitten bowl, much more preferable to the real one.

My daughter thought Cosworth would like to go out in the snow but was worried he might get cold, he stayed there for ages.

Nova firmly believing she was helping me track down an electrical gremlin in the EWP/Fan circuits. She didn't.

17°C today, so McVitie is being lazy outside, instead of inside.

I don’t have favourites but today’s is Bruce. This kitten is bullet proof. Not phased by other cats or dogs. Enjoys human interaction. He’s huge at six months old and still growing. Just the most mischievous, playful, naughty, happy, purring, loving character who has now taken to kissing me and licking my ears. Definitely a keeper.

Molly and Darcy, apparently brother and sister. Generally fight all the time, but curiously always around each other. This is their typical position when the fire is on.

Cats like helping with car maintenance IMO: my Norwegian Forest cat, Erik, used to sit in my car with me when I was doing interior work, or he'd sit on the roof and offer advice if I was working on the engine, brakes or suspension.

Best one was I was installing a hazard light kit - I was focused on the job and wrestling with the wires under the dash, reached over to the passenger seat without looking to pick up an electrical screwdriver not realising that he'd curled up on the seat for a nap directly on my tools.

Made me jump and utter a "uuurrgghh" noise.

He calmly woke up, gave me that 'Humans, pah' look that only a cat can do and went back to sleep.

Had to get a different screwdriver from the garage as I didn't want to move him.

It'll be 2 months this Thursday since we lost him. And not an hour goes by that I don't miss the big lump of hairy inertia.
