It's Caturday- Post some cats (vol 3)
Discussion
Our old cat disappeared & and we hunted high & low for him , I should of probably thought of it earlier but a few days later I popped in the vets to ask if they could put a lost poster up for us , receptionist said oh no why didn’t you come in earlier , apparently he was found collapsed not a millions miles from our house , and the kind people had taken him to the vets , they gave it a day / two to see if we came in but he was suffering so put him to sleep , we brought him home to bury.
It’s the place I’ll goto first in future , sad for you cat .

Well my second paragraph was incorrect.
Found the old boy under a bush this morning. Have just dug a hole.

May there be endless late afternoon sunshine followed by bits of bbq’d fish scavenged from humans.
Truly sorry for your loss. A year ago RangaTanga walked off into the sunset and I found him 2 weeks later. Two years ago this week Motek disappeared/nicked from front of the house. Found the old boy under a bush this morning. Have just dug a hole.

Their heartbeats are still keenly felt on their anniversary dates, and it gets very dusty here...
We had a fiesty female tabby who'd hiss at visitor's shoes in the hall, and then stroll over to my nephew sitting on our sofa and lash out at him then stroll off!
The local dogs went around in twos because she'd sit in the front garden drain gully from our kitchen with just her eyes showing. A dog might trot innocently past on the footpath and the guided missile that was our cat would erupt from the gulley and with afterburners ablaze, charge after any dog however big. There was a labrador once that didn't even look over his shoulder before running Hell-for-leather for shelter!

Our tabby is the result of a feral tom mating with a pampered pet. She was as a young cat almost feral. Very difficult to handle. Now as an old cat she is super affectionate but with limits - she can suddenly turn and bite the hand that is fussing her.
I got 'adopted' by a local stray cat a couple of years ago - very shy and difficult to get to trust me for some time. As usual, food tended to be very helpful (!) and he now spends hours with me - when he's very happy and purring he'll suddenly bite my hand in affection. I just wish he'd do it a little more gently..
.
Sadly we lost our little girl on Wednesday. She was diagnosed back in February with the same, rare form of gastric lymphoma that we lost her brother to last year. She had other complications as well and had been managing pretty well with the cocktail of meds from the vet but on Monday she went downhill very rapidly. The vet gave her some injections to try and see if she just needed a boost to get back on her food and regular medication but it didn't work. We took her back on Wednesday morning hoping there was something more that could be done but unfortunately we had to make the call to say goodbye.
Sleep well Sasha, thanks for all the joy and love you gave us these past 12 and a half years. You were the sweetest-natured soul. You are missed terribly.
