It's Caturday- Post some cats (vol 3)
Discussion
Hemingway’s house in Key West, famous for having loads of resident cats, a number of which have six toes. Stopped to take a photo of this handsome chap…

…laid down shopping bag, and he jumped in.

Thought I better not nick him, so despite the ‘don’t lift the cats’ warnings I had to lift him out. A very placid chap.
I liked this too - visitors aren’t allowed to sit on or touch the furniture…

Madam was at the vets today, full clean bill of health, now vaccinated and pet plan set up. She escaped from the pet carrier on the way to the vet and tried to get on my head as I was driving! She then stepped on the electric window button, luckily I was right next to a bus stop, so I pulled in reboxed her and made sure she couldn't get out again.

Unless you've had a tortoise jammed under the brake pedal you don't know the meaning of fear

I recently moved to Dubai for a new role and managed to get permission from SWMBO to get a cat here and then take them home when I come back in a couple of years.
Spoke to a number of adopters and settled on a fat middle aged chap called Steve (!). They also encouraged me to foster a second as Steve likes cat company apparently so also received a youngster originally called Paws due to some burns on his feet but I've settled on Pads or Paddy for that one.
Steve is clearly not enjoying life so far and has spent much of the weekend under the sofa or bed so I've cleared my study and made a sanctuary for him there. Thankfully he's now started eating and exploring when no-ones in the room but he's still very timid. I think it'll take him a couple of weeks to come out of his shell.
Pads on the other hand is an absolute sweetheart. Purring away and loves to lie on me. He has a bad habit of trying to be a scarf overnight so after a few times of moving him he's settled to sleeping next to me. #heartmelt
Going to be very hard to give him up, wonder if my wife would allow me to have 2 cats (in addition to our UK 3)?!
Unfortunately Pads has been sneezy all weekend and this morning sneezed blood so off to the vets with him this afternoon
Just arrived at the apartment. Very little aggro between them and Pads has only hissed a couple of times at Steve when he got too close / started sniffing him.

Pads found a box!
