Planning on taking up some decking (Only a couple of square meters in total, really small space) up at my mums and relaying new boards.

Mum is frail and the deck is always slippy. Done some googling around non slip decking - anyone got any thougths/ recommendations? Is composite/ GRP the way to go? Is it easy to cut?

Some time ago we fitted some softwood decking that had, what appeared to be, resin with gravel in it. set into the boards. Horrible stuff to cut.

Not specifically antislip but might be worth looking at hardwood decking. I have installed a red balau deck and even when thoroughly wet it is not slippery at all. Weathers nicely and only requires a clean once a year. I phoned local timber merchants and there were various hardwood options. Mine is a smooth surface, not "reeded".

Might be worth seeing if a local supplier has anything and getting some samples?
