Introducing.........

Hamish.

Absolutely the worst start in life- found tied in carrier bag, head sticking out, hanging by a string round his neck, on a fence post.
Basically bagged up and hung up to die.

Came home with us from the dog rescue place here in Dubai 3 weeks ago, a scrawny, matted, timid, nervous mess.
No pictures of 'before' because put frankly i have no desire to remember him in the state he was in, but.......

After 3 weeks, a good bath or six, a LOT of time training, reassuring him that every arm or leg movement doesnt result in being hit or kicked.....

He is turning out pretty well!
He isnt keen on being more than 6mm away at any waking moment, its comically clumsy, has a beautiful temperament, bags of character and is (i think!) pretty bloody grateful.
Spends a lot of time asleep, loves a walk and a run and is borderline obsessed with moths.
Perhaps not a classically good looker, but scrubs up quite well after a good haircut.

This thread once again delivers and confirms it's 'best thread on PH' status for me.

Well done with Hamish, he looks a real character.

Love the two collies 'hiding' smile

Loved Pesty's video of Jean barking at the playground toy, our dog Holly does something similar when she meets something new for the first time - very amusing.

Daphne's ears.

They dropped a month or so ago like Barry's are but they are back up again, the wife did a bit of research and apparently Yorkie cross dogs can end up with ears either up or down and if they are still up by 6m old the chances are they will stay up.

Either the Isle of Wight has suffered some serious coastal erosion or that is one HUGE dog...
