They are proper characters aren't they?!?! His smile is great but she has a beautiful face!!! You obviously wanted Australian cattle dogs were they difficult to find? And why them in particular?
Thanks. They are my world which is kind of a problem I get too attached to dogs. Our last dog a gsd passed away when I was 13 I was distraught and couldn’t face having another. However I had seen mad max 2 and said to myself if I ever get a dog it would be one of those, or a gsd
Fast forward many, many years the two girls were pestering me for a dog, change of job meant I was flexible so time allowed it the other half wouldn’t have a big dog so I relinquished if I could pick the breed.
Only two breeders and they were picky with a long waiting list.
Then Logan appeared. I had told myself I wouldn’t get attached it was for the girls. On the day we brought him back I took him to the garden for number ones and he followed me
I knelt down and he came over like this

Sorry to butt in guys but I'm a newbie
Not got many of him as he never stands still yet, but this is Cooper. He'll be 11 weeks on Saturday and we're all besotted - as is pretty much everybody he meets
Remind me why I never got a puppy when I was single
Cooper is very cute, no doubt will be a bundle of fun and energy. Not got many of him as he never stands still yet, but this is Cooper. He'll be 11 weeks on Saturday and we're all besotted - as is pretty much everybody he meets

Sad times, we have had to say goodbye to Oscar our chocolate labrador - first posted on here at 8 weeks old on Vol 1 pg 23 on 4 October 2009.
Didn't quite make his 9th birthday, cancer took him far too soon. He had a splenectomy in early June and was diagnosed with an aggressive form and he lasted about 2 months.
What a great dog he was though, a perfect companion to my children growing up and he will leave a big hole in our lives.

R.I.P. Oscar, it is never easy losing a dog it's even worse when they are "young". I lost my first (mine not parents) dog when she was just five it broke my heart and it was several years before I could bring myself to get another. My only advice would be don't wait as long as me (but don't rush either).
Over the past 20 years we have lost 4 of our very dear friends (all rescue dogs came to use as adults) it doesn't get easier and the loss is real its not "just a Dog". Oscar looked a character and I bet those 10 years have flown by but to have 10 years of wonderful memories is a precious gift.
After losing each of our Dogs we never put a time scale on helping another Rescue it just kind of happens the time will be right when it is right.
RIP Oscar .

That is a very fine dog a great example of the breed. He looks mad keen as we’d say in my neck o the woods.
In my opinion there are only two types of dogs. Dobies and non Dobies.
Thank you, he is a very keen dog just how i like them as well. I bought him in Russia and took a long time to find the right dobie for us.In my opinion there are only two types of dogs. Dobies and non Dobies.
Pics of sire and dam below. Sire is a world working champion and dam won a lot of shows all over Europe.
