Well done for fostering dogs, especially service dogs which need a good home after working.

Really taken with Snoopy and wondering if my parents might be interested in adopting as they were just talking about getting a second dog . They are semi-retired in County Mayo, I see you're in County Clare. Might be serendipitous. Is there a link for Snoopy that I can send to my parents?
The power of Pistonheads has worked a small miracle.

Snoopy moved to County Mayo today.

Anne, his new mum, phoned to say he is settling really well and sent some photos. I know that he has gone to the right home.

He has been a pleasure and privilege to have in the house.

Thanks to Redback911 for his help.

Oops - double post

Just to add that Snoopy is a retired guide dog who had to retire at 7 because he is losing his sight.

Sorry to butt in guys but I'm a newbie

Not got many of him as he never stands still yet, but this is Cooper. He'll be 11 weeks on Saturday and we're all besotted - as is pretty much everybody he meets

Remind me why I never got a puppy when I was single wink
Meet Bonnie, about 12 weeks and we've had her for 10 days and yes they are popular with strangers.

Great to give an ex-working dog a home.

Haze what a dog he is turning out to be, super super intelligent and keeps me on my toes. This is one of our dogs where my other half feels safe with on late night walks.

rofl They are proper characters aren't they?!?! His smile is great but she has a beautiful face!!! You obviously wanted Australian cattle dogs were they difficult to find? And why them in particular?
Thanks. They are my world which is kind of a problem I get too attached to dogs.

Our last dog a gsd passed away when I was 13 I was distraught and couldn’t face having another. However I had seen mad max 2 and said to myself if I ever get a dog it would be one of those, or a gsd

Fast forward many, many years the two girls were pestering me for a dog, change of job meant I was flexible so time allowed it the other half wouldn’t have a big dog so I relinquished if I could pick the breed.

Only two breeders and they were picky with a long waiting list.

Then Logan appeared. I had told myself I wouldn’t get attached it was for the girls. On the day we brought him back I took him to the garden for number ones and he followed me
I knelt down and he came over like this

Very cute pic, so not getting attached didn't even last long enough for him to take a number one wink

Can't blame you though, he even smiled for the camera when he was a pup! thumbup

Really nice story, well done for giving snoopy a happy home to retire to, shame he is losing his sight after spending his early years as a guide dog! Doesnt seem fair for the poor guy, but at least he can relax now and enjoy his retirement in the countryside. smile

En route to France for holidays. Made a bed for Jerry on top of the soft bags so he could see out of the window.

He wasn't this content for the whole journey but he seemed to appreciate the consideration at times.
