Otto made a bid for freedom, or rather he spotted another dog across the road from our house when he was being let in the house.

BMW 5 series at about 15-20mph. Got knocked about 10m and made a sickening noise in pain.

The Vet says he will make a full recovery and because the break doesn't cross the articular surface he is unlikely to suffer any arthritis in the future as a result.

How do you keep a puppy still for 4 weeks?

Oh no, poor Otto, but I guess it could have been (much) worse. My best friend's first puppy was killed in similar circumstances frown

Bless him! You must have been terrified too.

It was pretty traumatic. The daughter and the wife (who up until a couple of months ago was adamant we were not getting a dog) were distraught! Curious effect Otto has had on the wife.

cry Oh no!!! Poor Otto, the problem is they really don't understand the dangers of running off like that! Hopefully he'll heal and be back to himself soon!! As for how to keep him still, have you thought of a board and a roll of Duck Tape?? smile

Which Centre Parcs?

Longleat one has a load of stray cats that live in/around the chalets as people feed them
Sherwood Forest. I think that they have a squirrel infestation issue.

One of mine did this earlier in the week

I have some special fox poo shampoo but there is still a little whiff coming off her!

He never did it until Daphne came on the scene, she used to do it and now doesn't and he now can't help himself and yet he always pulls that look when he has a bath, you would have thought he'd put 2 and 2 together.

It's when it gets all clogged up in his collar and tag yuck

We've been there a few times, though not for quite a while.

The other place we loved was the Luxulyan valley.

Mine roll in it, and just about another pooh they can find. Pain when they have long curly coats. I have two things in the garage, tomato ketchup and baby powder scented shampoo. Recommended by a dog groomer, it seems to work. Oh and disposable latex gloves, else it makes your hands stink vomit
