Thank you, he is a peculiar beast; and yet so loving. I am so sorry for your loss, he looks a special boy in the picture.
Given there aren't too many around I met another one just 10 miles from home, couldn't believe how much smaller she was.
Clearly had some kind of mental issues.
Was PTS at only 3.5 years old.
We never met another Lagotto in 2.5 years, but we did meet someone who knew he wasn’t a Cockapoo and knew what he was.
Still a very unknown breed in the UK.
The girls can be very small, the boys very big.
I know one that’s 19kg and no fat on him.
Leo was 17kg in that pic and again, no excess fat on him.
Beautiful, funny, annoying and quirky - fantastic breed and I’ll have another one day!

I agree they can be unpredictable, and very sensitive [oh and sulky]. I have had spaniels and pointers all my life, and so know about working dogs but the Lagotto has brought a number of new dimensions to my training technique and approach. Clearly had some kind of mental issues.

I am aware of the background to your issues via FB; it had me tearful.
They are a lovely breed but I wouldn't consider them a first timers dog; I am sure you have another one in the future. I enjoy him so much I'm considering another. Sucker for punishment

Im Batdog !
I generally don't agree with 'dangerous dog' lists, usually just down to incompetent owners!

Gizmo is awesome, Rocco used to have his tongue poking out when he slept when younger, but he must have grew into it in the end as he doesn't do it now Batleyred said:
This is why I want another dog as I am sure Rocco would love to curl up together for a nap, we have thought of another Frenchie as we like the breeds but the amount of issues we have had with Rocco's allergies kind of puts us off, I know this could happen with any dog but its just in the back of our minds.Still never got it resolved despite god knows how many vet trips and thousands spent! Even worse now that our insurance company has decided to withdraw the contract as it costs them too much! bds!
Guess I will be withdrawing my car, motorbike and house insurance from them then!

Proud of him though. Lots of off lead time and meeting other dogs without barking!! Such progress.
I've probably missed the background, but how have you ended up with Daddy (I think that was his name). I've scanned back a few pages but can't see the infoGassing Station | All Creatures Great & Small | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
