Betty, our nearly 6 month old springer spaniel. A picture from the weekend and one from not long after getting her after Christmas. She’s bonkers but we utterly adore her.

Im Batdog !
More like Pratdog. He ran into the garden this morning and bit the tops off a dozen flowers in about 30 seconds. ahole!
Here he is this evening. Praying by the look of it that I won't kick him off that chair!
Love EBTs, would like to get one to keep our Frenchie company but I learned they are one of the breeds that require a licence so would need to look into that some more, doesn't seem like a big deal and from what I learned reading the website below should be easily manageable anyway, but still annoying...

I generally don't agree with 'dangerous dog' lists, usually just down to incompetent owners! rolleyes

https://www.wien.gv.at/english/environment/animal-...
Every EBT I have ever met would be far to lazy to waste energy on being aggressive. Add to the mix their love of people (shared by Staffies ) ....

What breed is he/she? Couldn't work it out from the pic, looks GSD like but the face looks a bit different, but maybe just me or the way the pic was taken.
He's a Belgian Malinois cross. A little out of sorts at the moment as we had to have his older brother put to sleep on Monday frown

Bull Terriers on the dangerous dog list. That's ridiculous...having said that, they can down a man just by farting! Wilson has a bed buddie called Hamilton, who actually is the aggressor when play gets rough. Not that it has any effect on Wilson!

Don’t get me wrong, I totally agree about them, they are big lumps for their size but big soft lumps in my experience of them.
I was surprised to see them listed on it to be honest, although like I said I don’t really agree with this kind of lists anyway, any dog can potentially be dangerous if not trained/raised properly!

Love that pic of them together, very cute! smile

EBT's are not on the dangerous dogs list, they never have been.

The list is

Pit Bull Terrier.
Japanese Tosa.
Dogo Argentino.
Fila Brasileiro

That's the UK's list. Lazermilk isn't in the UK and the link was to the list for Vienna.

Yep I am talking about the Austrian one, although its not really fair to compare it with the dangerous dogs list in the UK, so perhaps I should have worded that better, as in the case in Austria the dogs listed just require you to get a licence and prove you can handle it and it is trained from what I can see, so should easily be possible, just hassle to do so.

I suppose it is a good thing overall though, to try to avoid the type of people who just want a dog like this as some kind of status symbol, would make it more difficult to do so.

Just to confirm the list here is:

Obligatory dog licence
You are legally required to take the Vienna Dog Licence exam if your dog’s breed (or mix) is on the following list

American Staffordshire Terrier
Bullterrier
Dogo Argentino
Fila Brasileiro (Brazilian Mastiff)
Mastiff, Bull Mastiff
Mastin Espanol (Spanish Mastiff)
Mastino Neapoletano (Neapolitan Mastiff)
Pit Bull Terrier
Rottweiler
Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Tosa Inu
and all mixes of these breeds

Never you mind

Welcome to the wonderful zany world of spaniels! They are super fun to be around although they can be a little bit mental. Well when I say a little bit I mean a lot! biggrin

My working cocker is coming up to 12.

It’s only in the last few years that he has switched from full on mental to just slightly mad.

Love him to bits

He looks wonderful.

Sorry to read about the loss of his brother.

one of ours was about 18 months old when we took her on. It was the first time she had been parted from her sister.

I think she was quite traumatised the first few weeks we had her.

Below is a picture of her with our Lab a few days after we homed her.

Many thanks.

The older lab doesn't look too impressed with the intrusion to her bed smile
