Well done Steve. Did the RSPCA give you any idea what had happened? Just lost its mum and lack of food?

Excellent work.

Logan loves foxes as in loves to chase them. Don’t think he’s hurt one though but you never know

Some good news on the fosters front smile

The little one Kinder got her results back from the lab, the lump that was removed was benign, so she's now got a clean bill of health, sterilised and ready to rehome. I don't think she'll hang around long given she's tiny (6.5kg) and I've got a handful of great photos now showing she can live nicely in a house. They really make the difference compared to pics of them in 'cages' outdoors at the shelter. I'll be a bit sad to see her go but if she moves on I've got the space the next time we have another urgent situation like hers was.

Buzz the dogo argentino is getting better every day, his skin problems are being medicated and and he's on a high quality diet. Also getting plenty exercise and generally just settling into family life. His health issues are going to be ongoing though. Combine that with his size, breed and the laws surrounding him being rehomed, I don't think he'll be going anywhere any time soon.

They are banned. From https://www.gov.uk/control-dog-public/banned-dogs

Banned dogs

In the UK, it’s against the law to own certain types of dog. These are the:

Pit Bull Terrier
Japanese Tosa
Dogo Argentino
Fila Brasileiro

Here in Portugal they're on the restricted list, which just means you have a bunch of rules other dog owners don't need to comply with. Rottweilers are on the list here but not in UK. I don't really feel either should be on any list but won't derail a photo thread with that smile

The RSPCA have as much idea as I do. My best guess is that it was of an age where mum had sent it off to fend for itself and sadly it couldn't. The sadder alternative is that it was poisoned. It did perk up once warmed and dried out, but was still docile when the RSPCA lady picked it up to transfer in to her cage.

It has gone to the Kendal College animal rescue centre where it will be checked by a vet. If, the prognosis is good and if it gets strong enough, it will be re-released, possibly in the same area. So , Otto might see (sniff) it again.

You laugh, however she does tend to feel the cold, I've recently had to change the heating timer to be on all day, during the day when we are at work; when on a day off a couple of weeks ago, the heating wasn't on (it was cold outside but I don't tend to feel it) and she was curled up next to me on the sofa, shivering! The other 2 are fine though!

I know what you mean, our Millie had a very thin coat and felt the cold as well....
