My old mum lives alone, 70 miles from her nearest relative (me). When we visit her or she visits us, she loves to take my dogs out for walks and we've suggested she gets one for herself but quite sensibly (she is 80) she says she doesn't want the responsibility of having a dog if she's going to die or be bedridden in a few years time.
At the moment however she is pretty healthy, spends most of her time in the garden and goes for a 3 mile walk in the countryside every day.
I've seen the rise of professional doggy daycare businesses recently and there is clearly a need among working people for this. Just wondering if there is any kind of app or service which links people like my mum who would be happy to take someone's dog for the day free of charge with owners who would be glad if their dog was getting a little attention and a walk during the day.
Any one know of such a thing or if not, any ideas on where/how to get in touch with someone who might appreciate the idea?

Me too, that's her signed up . Given that she's in a small town in semi rural central Scotland I was amazed that there's around a dozen dogs within a mile of her all looking for walkies. She's going to have to get her running shoes on wink

She could also volunteer at any local rehoming places as they always need people to exercise their dogs.

Read the reviews, not all dog loan companies offer the same level of support.
