I suppose the answer is yes. Just as I would eat my dog if I was starving and had no other food.

I get it if you or your dog are starving, but some of these woofers ate their owner within a few hours.

One guy shot himself in the face and his pet ate his head. hehe

That's like eating your dog because you missed lunch.

I'd go at least a few days before I ate my dog. Unless he gave in first hehe

Indeed. According to the link it's got nothing to do with the dog being hungry.

Owner dies,
dog nudges owner to wake them up,
dog gets panicked and nudges turn into nips,
dog tastes blood,
instinct takes over,
dog eats owners head.

All while the bowl of dog food on the floor goes untouched (snack for later, maybe?).

Then:-
Rescuers find dog with blood on its face, an arm hanging out of its mouth and a really really really innocent look with those big puppy dog eyes! laugh

I suppose if dogs could use PH they would make a 'The STEAK thread, served a la dog'.

I am aware of numerous incidents where dogs have chewed on their dead owners through work. Normally jobs where someone hasn't been seen for a good few days and theres milk on the doorstep etc.

Jean attacked me if i sneeze. Gently bites my nose. But flies at me like a rocket which is quite painful then tries to mouth me.

Logan did too when a pup but he stopped.

I'm pretty sure *everything* will attempt to scavenge a carcass if otherwise starving, regardless of normal or preferred food source. Saw a really disturbing report of Galapagos giant tortoises who'd become trapped somewhere going cannibal, years and years ago now - it rather stuck in my memory. Can't imagine they've got great capacity to digest it but clearly the instincts say give it a go. hurl
