Introducing a kitten to resident mog

Hi Chaps
I am picking up a rescue kitten tomorrow and am a bit nervous about how to go about introducing him to my resident mog Boris.
Boris is 4 years old and a rescue himself, he lived with my old cat Kirra until she passed away last year. When I introduced Boris to Kirra I kept him in my spare room for a week and let them sniff each other under the door etc. then let them do their thing.
As the kitten is younger than Boris was he was 5 months the new kitten is only 12 weeks, should I be doing anything different?

It is worth having a read of the above. This is an excellent website and will offer the best advice, it should all work out with time and patience (obviously not always though)
Hope they settle together. The way you did it before is not a bad way of doing it though.
