Our Westie sleeps on our bed, but on occasion will make his way right up to the pillows, very occasionally trying to curl up on my wife's head.

Is this some kind of dominance thing? Or is he just weird?

Find the same with Jean sometimes.

If you don't like it make them stop I don't mind as she's soft and warm.

Our Millie (AKA The White Puppy) would often get on the the bed at pillow level and just stare at us....

We soon stopped that...

Nothing to worry about, cats do it as well. It is just where he feels safe, secure and close. It would only be a concern if he was being over protective and showing aggression to you.

One if my whippets would sleep on my pillow next to me if I let her!

Wow, she ain't small.

Barry sometimes does it to me, I don't mind it as it's nice and comfy.

I wonder if this thread will start a debate about whether you should let your dogs sleep on your bed or not and it's weird if you do!

Hope not. There will always be those who allow it and those who think it is disgusting etc. And neither side will be swayed to change their minds!

I should hope so too. He’d be mighty pissed off if he received a kitten instead...

Ours is 9yrs old, not an ounce of fat on him, fitter than most greyhounds.

He hates being cold.

I call him the 5 year old puppy. He certainly acts like it, probably castrated at a few months old and stuck in that mental state of development.
