This guy is off to see the behaviourist this afternoon. Can be all sweetness a light when he wants to be, but is stubborn as anything and wont do things if its not on his terms.
Also has a real issue with other dogs and can be very unpredictable. He wants to be social, loves people and dogs, but introduce him and he can either love them or hate them and ultimately tries to snap at them. We nailed it down to male dogs (intact) and also submissive dogs. If they fall into those categories he is a horror dog.
Hopefully the session later will help.

hi everyone,
I am not 100% sure this worked, and if not i apologise i'll have another go.
I've been reading piston heads for 15years + i reckon, and i've never felt the urge to comment, apart from here.
Just looking at all your dog pics, i can now see the joy and pride they bring you.
This is Teddy, 11months old, boxer staffy cross. Totally changed our lives, and got us a lot more active
You and Teddy are very welcome here.I am not 100% sure this worked, and if not i apologise i'll have another go.

Teddy, with your breed make-up, I suspect you are a lovely, cuddly clown

No Shiba Inu in there?!?!??
Apparantly not, it's a really big surprise.Yosh says hi to him, he’s combined Reg is a fellow Shiba
This is Milo, we've had this little doofus for 4 years now and are his third family. He has a few quirks, such as hates the lead coming off ( a piece of cake to put on, but a length of rope does the trick and once home The Lad just lets go of one end). Very affectionate and guards the street never mind the house!

Thanks. Went really well actually, and given us things to work on.
Can i ask what you need to do/change? Teddy's worse trait, jumping up when he's excited, we were told to concentrate on one comand, something he does well, and keep saying it.
He can only do one thing at a time, so will, with practice do it.
So we use sit, and when he goes to jump up, to greet, we just repeat it.
Slowly over the weeks and months, it's gone from saying it 50+ times, to maybe 3 or 4 and him actually doing it
