This Sunday 8/12 Ch4 @ 9pm
Guy attempts to recreate on of the most memorable scenes in western cinema history.Steve McQueen's motorcycle jump over a 12ft barbed wire fence in the classic movie 'The Great Escape'

Smiler.

Is he seriously going to drag this out over an hour? Getting all over excited about rolls of barbed wire?

He uses a new Scrambler with reinforced shocks (according to the Mail which gives away whether he succeeds or not!!).

Saw a brief trailer for this...the bit that stood out was GM saying to the camera....."I can smell the hospital already!"

This week, in a mournful northern accent reminiscent of when the pits were closed, Guy Martin faces his biggest challenge yet.

How to make a cup of tea without a kettle.

Why doesn’t the stunt bloke just do it. Ridiculous. Stunt man does everything first.

Enjoyed that!

Having bought myself a ropey old Moto-Cross bike earlier this year and done a couple of days instruction, I’m fairly jealous of how quickly he seemed to take to it.

I mean, yes, I get he has competed at a high level on tarmac since he was wee, but still...it almost suggests that I’m not a natural world-class rider!
