I’m looking for a few computer computer ‘arms’ to give a very minimalistic, floating, zero gravity look. I’ve tried some previously but found the movement very stiff and inaccurate (eg it may not hold in exactly the position required).

Does anyone have any recommendations?

I've three of these (triple monitor setup orginally, now dual).

All you can see is the "stem" - holds them very well. Well enough to have three all perfectly lined up.

I want something that won’t sink, wobble and can be moved smoothly and accurately rather than being very stiff.

Well, that's what I've linked you.

You are welcome.

p.s. I think you might be looking for a cantelivered arm if you want to keep moving it about in a "floaty way".

You want three, but if quality is your concern, why not try one of the 'winning' brands here:

I went to a search engine and typed 'best monitor stand'. wink

I have one of these - https://www.ergotron.com/en-gb/products/product-de...

Can't rate it highly enough.

My use is to have the screen, one of two, at a normal desktop position and it floats perfectly in front of me - and then when required, I attach my driving wheel for Sim Racing and pull the screen completely across the desk so it floats a few mm above the wheel.

It's superb, even at full reach, it's fluid and smooth but rock solid and doesn't sag.

Very well made - quality bit of kit.

We use Humanscale arms at work, think they're pretty pricey but they are very good.

I got a Humanscale one on eBay, still not cheap but the quality is very good.

I bought one of these second hand for my 34" alienware ultra wide.

All in all it is rock solid and I'd highly recommend. It may not be the exact one you need for whatever reason but the item/brand is very good and you could break your way out of a crashed bus with this and it wouldn't have a scratch on it. Engineered properly.

Bought one of these last year, very happy with it. Currently holds a 32" LG screen with no stability issues at all. Resistance in the joints can be adjusted to make it more or less easy to move.

Thanks. You’re right I think it’s cantilever that I’m looking for. Will check it out
