I personally think they look rubbish when fitted, just pull the seat fully back when getting in the car and ensure there are no sharp objects in your back trouser pockets when getting in or rivets on jeans.
I think if you had a dark coloured car seat, a matching pair then they wouldn't look too bad, but you need them on the lower seat as well as thats where you also see wear.
Pushing the seat right back when you get out is a must anyway isn't it? It makes it much easier and I'm a shorty
