We’ve not posted for so long sorry, just so much going on but some Yoshi news,
5 weeks ago he started limping and was advised it’s a knee strain so meds and take it easy then a few days later tripped down the steps on garden and couldn’t/wouldn’t get up, back to vets and they thought it’s aback problem now as whole back end was tender.
More meds more rest, he doesn’t like boing picked up at the best of times so being carried to toilet and back was not fun for either of us.
A month later he can walk about a dozen steps before stirring for a min
He’s lost just on 2kg which is certainly helping and yesterday managed to get down the two steps in garden with cushions in each to help
Off to see orthopaedic specialist on 23rd, the final step might be surgery on the original knee of recovery falters but I’m so proud of him, being such a good chap

What an embuggerance, poor old Yoshi.
Best wishes to the good old boy. Hope that the ortho specialist helps.
We had similar with my previous JRT, Lucky Eddie and the knee surgery worked well.
He had taken a bad knock and split the growth cap off his femur. He was in a world of pain but the surgeon managed to pin it all back together.
Great result.
Good luck to Yoshi.

No pic as I don't think it's right taking pics of people's dogs without their permission, just spent 10 minutes making a fuss of a lovely pooch, a Lhasa Apso cross I think, she was laid outside Waitrose tied to a column wagging her tail looking at everyone walking past expectantly, I just had to stop and make a fuss of her!!!!!
I’m always asking people if I can take/share photos of their dogs
Not had anyone decline yet. In fact on our pack walk on Wednesday we met big Frank and I asked if I could take some photos. He was the gentlest giant and just adored the little ones. Not sure the photos do his size justice as he was typical horse size. Seth was too busy sniffing out the other ladies.
