Have a picture of this overfriendly, overfed, greengrocer's guard dog I met in Burgundy last summer. No that isn't a third back leg. Bloody Frenchmen.

Obviously travels in his owner's vehicle - sort of coq-au-vin, non?

Heartfelt pages, was cracking up seeing little Rufus and all the other wonderful beings that are remembered forever.

My little friend feels for them as well (see pic), I can't imagine being without him, so hugs for everybody here who mourn their beloved fellows.

Definitely the best thread here.

Hi from Teddy

Lovely eyes there.

Doggy eyes are lovely, they can melt you to the spot.

Had a few days off before work gets (even more) mad than usual.

The weather forecast for this week wasn't great but we still managed to get out on 3 of the 4 days I have been on leave. Tuesday was a lovely walk around one of our favourites - Usk Reservoir:

Today was another favourite, Cwm Gwaun:

Thursday was a bit more iffy weather-wise, so I didn't take any photos, but we still had lovely walks at Cwm Rheidol Reservoir and Hafod near Aberystwyth.

Great photos as always, and thoughts with anyone who's lost their loyal companion recently, it's one of the hardest things to go through.

This was little Amy. My first dog. Got her from an abandoned litter when I was 4 and she lived till I was 19.

Answers on a postcard as to what breeds were in there....

She looks a lot like mine, which we've decided is collie/lab/terrier.

I think staffie was pretty much a given. They're were guesses at collie. But there was also something like lurcher going on in there.

Close encounter of the Feline Kind - turns out Wilf is fascinated by cats, my previous boys (Monty and Rolo) would have been trying to kill kitty but Wilf seems to like cats! He has met a friend's cat which was gentle with him merely bopping him on the nose if he got too close. I kept him no closer than this with this unknown cat as I don't want him getting swiped.

So sad to read of the losses cry Thoughts and hugs to you x

I’ve had Daddy for the latter part of the week/weekend. It’s been nice having two again and they’ve been by each others side and behaved.

We walked in to town today and on the country road a large Wolfhound passed us gazing down from the passenger seat of a Citroen Dispatch with a smile. As it passed I clocked the plate A B16 MUT and smiled back.
