I'm looking for recommendations for a doggy car seat or cover. At the moment I have estate cars and Brodie goes into his crate but I've just bought a saloon car so need to protect both the dog and the seat. what are you guys using?

We only have estates or hatchbacks for transporting dogs but I was going to suggest a hammock.

The only thing I would add is that, for a car interior as beautiful as yours, I think I'd want to add another (soft) protective layer in case the underneath of the hammock rubs on the seats and marks it.

Don't forget to anchor the dog if he/she is loose in the hammock.
My daughter uses a short lead that clips onto her hareness and into the central seat belt fixing.
A loose dog in collision becomes an unguided missile and can seriously hurt itself as well as front seat pasengers' heads.

That's a good idea. Mika is in a hammock in the Swift with a bed. It's OK but could be better as it's a one size sort of fits all. In the 86 he's in a solid box. This seems in-between the two.
