There have been lots of highs but also some lows. I expected as much - this big goofball was on unclaimed stray death row 18months ago and has been in the wonderful Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary since. I ve been volunteer walking him for a while now and got to know him. He has been to our home previously but hasn t had a stay over.

Kept him cool today with some stick rescues!

He used to have a tail but is such a lovely happy natured dog that he had a severe case of happy tail and had to have it amputated!!!!
I found some pics/posts of Tucker with tail when he was first picked up and on death row.

A mile or so down a footpath. Nose almighty sniffed out someone's lost ball. Heidi says finders keepers.

Guess who has the only German Shepherd that doesn't like getting her paws wet.
In a combined operation involving yours truly, a long stick and twinkle toes. We managed to retrieve it again.

Apart from the corduroy bunny (now in two parts) the squirrel and the red rope, the dog has found every single one of these.

Year ago today Summer left us

Part of me can’t believe it has been that long, the other part feels like it has been forever since our last cuddle.
