Captsideways - Sorry to,read about Mia

If only they lived longer .
I remember an episode of Room 101 decades ago which featured Julian Clary. One of his nominations was "the short life span of dogs". Whatever anyone might think of him, he was right about that.

So sorry to hear about Mia, Rescued Street mongrel is the best breed, bar none.

Been a while since I was on here. I was asked to foster an older boy that has had 6 homes before me. He's got some very odd behaviours, although thankfully house trained if nothing else and sleeps through the night. Weirdness I just find endearing. Seeing as he's older and spesh the charity bosses aren't hopeful of finding an adoptive home for him. Therefore he's officially staying with us to live out his days in oddball luxury.

Had Amber for the weekend again last week. Thankfully being built for the wilds of Turkey the weather wasn’t too bad for her.
She was a damn sight better off in our house and the woods than stuck on a sweltering narrow boat with the sis in law and her in laws hehe

Poor Stella. If you want to bathe the eye then steeped camomile tea on a cotton pad is a natural antiseptic and helps the matted fur they get around the eye. Hope she’s better soon

A failure to provide Bart with a crisp based diet is borderline abuse yes

Tell us more of his slightly bizarre ways...

This is now writ in stone after every morning walk/run/play, Frankie relaxes for 10 minutes in her own doggie paddling pool.

What she doesn't know yet is that she's going to have a liitle mate, another Golden pup will be collected in 3 weeks time.

Bart's quirks....
If he's worried about walking into somewhere he turns and goes backwards..
He has the memory of a goldfish, his nickname is Dory, no matter what he is doing he forgets and stands for a minute or two and then carries on..
He dislikes being given his treats by hand and likes them in his snuffle mat or brain toys instead.
He adores the cat and likes the moggy to sniff and lick the insides of his ears clean.
His favourite crisps are BBQ Bugles.
He won't walk through from the lounge to the kitchen unless you accompany him
If anyone walks in carrying a bag he will go crazy barking until it's put down for thorough investigation and sniffing, with added dribble if it's food related..

He's only been with me ten days hehe. Time for lunch (few crisps)
