Borrowed Tucker from Bleakholt again today and rented a secure field and play area. He had a good run about but he’s clearly a bit out of shape!
He was getting a bit agitated earlier but I forget he gets fed a lot earlier than we would. Fed watered and flaked out on the sofa with me now.
He’s staying over tonight with MrsRNP dropping him off tomorrow morning.

Been lurking in this thread for a few years now.
Our last dog passed in 2020 and we said we would never have another - or not for a very long time.
Buuuuut..... we have been accepted onto the Guide Dog program and we are expecting a puppy in the next few weeks.
Excited to say the least but we are also quite nervous as we know we are setting the foundations for the future training to become a fully qualified guide dog.
Everyone we have dealt with so far has been super helpful. Its a waiting game now!

Ella 13 years on with the same teddy we bought the day we got her.
Sadly she has started going downhill lately, her hearing and eyesight are deteriorating to the point she jumps when we approach her suddenly, she struggles to get on the sofa for a cuddle and has dementia moments where she will come out into the garden then forget why and turn around and go back inside behind the sofa.
She’s still eating and toileting and loves her short walks now, but we know the time is coming to do the right thing so I wanted to put her on here for the sake of it.

With regard to the 'dementia' aspect - I have had some success with a couple of my elderly dogs on Aktivait. It's a supplement rather than a prescription medicine, but if Ella's on any other medications it would be as well to check with your vet first.
