ETA - sorry, hadn't seen the photo above, but could we have one of her in the kitchen if you have one?

When I read about these poor dogs passing away, I feel a little uncomfortable posting about little successes in Reggie s recovery.
Thanks MoorX for the nudge. Happy to report progress is all positive. The video below was taken at the end of last week to send to the vet. Since, he is getting stronger by the day: still quite wobbly and left leg appears stronger than the right (result of the spinal damage I think) but the real win in the incontinence seems almost history.
He remains dry at night. He still wears a nappy band and is still confined to his cage but he leaps out in the morning and immediately outside for a massive wee! He crouches rather than cocks a leg
Pooping is tricky as he struggles to hold balance to complete the evolution.
But see the video! Never did I imagine we would be here this quickly! He remains confined to barracks, but he is out of danger I think!
Reggie, one week after his accident
That's so good to read, and his progress in the video is amazing for one week! You just wouldn't have thought it possible. Thank you for the update and (gentle) hugs to Reggie xThanks MoorX for the nudge. Happy to report progress is all positive. The video below was taken at the end of last week to send to the vet. I left him alone for the first time since the accident today as had to go into the office. I have a lady come and let him out late morning and do some exercise with him.
I could hear him crying while he was alone… heartbreaking! The lady’s visit went well, but when I came home, he was sat in the kitchen, tail going mad. I opened the door and he shot out into the back garden, ran round three times like a lunatic, then came and said hello, and promptly dropped and had a sleep!
I think he is going to be ok!!!

Reggie, one week after his accident

Few tears here. For Reggie and all the growing pups. What gorgeous photos and dogs. All.
We went for lunch on Saturday. Dogs are cleaner and have more manners than many humans.
‘I’ll have what she’s having’

Another pub lunch today with an old Brummy friend I’ve not seen for a few years. He adores Myrtle and thinks Seth looks like an 80’s rock star, which I can’t unsee now

Thank you all… Catso, MoorX, Antony, Gretchen, Bobberoo, Sidewinder, Chris……. (And anyone else I have inadvertently omitted) …. Reggie could not do this without you all willing him on. He is a remarkable character… taught me a thing or two about dealing with set backs.
He is slightly bemused by the rain though this morning. He looks a bit tired as yesterday was fairly active. Probable worthy rest day today, with some treats!
