I ve been on holiday for a week but beforehand I made a short little video of my mate Elfie! Id already taken Tucker out including the day before so he was pretty tired out and didnt begrudge me taking Elfie out.

Elfie originally came in at 7 months old due to her original owner getting diagnosed with a terminal illness. She s been rehomed a few times but it hasnt worked out. She is an Akita / Elkhound cross.

I absolutely adore her as she has such a fun / joyous character, she is however very nervous and apprehensive of many things in her life - i dont think she got out much in her earlier life.

I had the Finland equivalent to an Elkhound and I know they are minimum 10miles a day dogs, if you can give her the physical and mental workout she needs Elfie would be an awesome doggo. She has the most beautiful fur as well

Saying the word "Piggies" at our house means its off to our holding the feed the piggies and generally run about like loons, starting by waiting for me to open the gate to get them in the car

Pip's ears. ears

Started small;

Grew a little;

A little more;

And then some more;

They now fit him better;

It's a year old today. I don't think it's going to get any bigger.

rofl The people he came from had both (claimed) parent dogs and both were clearly Jack Russell. The Mother was a long-legged rough coated and the Father a long-haired, short legged, both with prick ears, the Father had the same over-sized ears as Pip.

There were 4 in the litter, the other 3 had classic JRT random/patchwork colouring whereas his colouring is perfectly symmetrical though he was almost blue coloured when we first met him.

However, as he grew and his legs got longer, body sleeker and we noticed how he runs, not just the speed but the gait, we started to wonder exactly what he is? - When we picked him up I had noticed that they had a (male) Lurcher in an outside kennel - scratchchin

When we first took him to the Vet for vaccines etc. they asked if he was some kind of 'Wolf-dog' and people often ask if he is a German Shepherd puppy/miniature or similar?

He is really small though - only weighs 6kg but there is definitely something different in him making him unique.

But, whatever his lineage he is 100% Jack Russell temperament. yes
