Continuing to send all our best wishes.

Hoping that some time at home will give him the boost he needs. Give him a (gentle) fuss from me smile

Fingers crossed for you OP. Hope he pulls through.

I have two Cane Corsos that are basically my children. I do worry a little when I see similarly large dogs going mental and the owners struggling to keep them under control as my two haven’t got a bad bone in their bodies.

The older one got bitten by a Malinois when she was around 9 months old and did nothing back, just cowered. Luckily only some small spots of blood on her muzzle, nothing drastic. The owner and dog pretty much ran off when it happened, and I’ve never seen them in the village again since.

Little man is resting at home, it was the right decision to take him home. He’s happy that his “mum” is by his side.

Appointment booked for Friday, they’ll check him over once again.

Christ, it's dusty in the office today...

Very cute little man, and wishing him all the best for Friday.

Being with Mum & Dad will always help their fighting spirit

Sorry Soad, I’m not on much at the moment so had missed this. Keeping him (& you all) in my thoughts

I'm not normally a 'dog person' but I'll second (/third/fourth) the good wishes for Friday. I hope that the little fella continues his recovery.

I am quite sure several of us would contribute to a justgiving page if someone was minded to set it up, if funds are needed.

I think that asking the owner of the dog who did this to pay the entire vets bill would be a better place to start. It sounds like they have paid part of it but not all, which I don't understand.

When I first saw this thread I thought you were mad for not euthanising the poor dog but obviously I didn’t say anything. He’s suffering for sure but it’s looking like he’s making good progress slowly and steadily.

Well done for not giving up on him. Dogs are family and much as it’s hard seeing him suffer, you’re going to do well nursing him back to good health now he’s back home.

Keep an eye on his emotional state too, and I wish you well.

Hope he pulls through.

What a horrible thing to have to go through. Best wishes to you and your family - and particularly for your little man.

Fingers crossed for you.

Absolutely echo this
I'd be distraught if this had happened to one of my two.
Poor little fellas eyes had me welling up.

Yep it's the eyes that have done it for me too, they say it all!

So hope he pulls through.
