I can only imagine that the people who make these spikes have literally zero knowledge or experience of cats, same with the buyers of said spikes. Any cat would clear them easily. My cats use the neighbours spikes like a ‘cat slalom’ course, I’d got as far as saying they find them fun!

Again, they're not for cats, they're for pigeons and squirrels...

I have previously bought a neighbour one of those ultrasonic cat deterrents to deter my cat. It didn’t really work but the gesture calmed him to the extent he said he didn’t mind anymore.

To be honest it’s more the fact they didn’t talk to us if the have a problem that annoys us.
They have lived here 2 months and never acknowledged I’d once.

The cats don’t give a monkeys as they just walk around the spikes.
I can just about make sense of this post, I think, and will try to reply in your language.

What would us expect those to said to us to stop the cats getting in there garden. Its not like yuo would stop cats going out in garden so spikes seem reasonable compromise. Cats dont bother I'd much but us do get sick of other peoples cats crapping in I'd garden sometimes.

Ive had to put some spikes up on my fence to make sure the cats don't come through my garden, main reason is cat poop, other is my dog doesn't entertain cats and the last thing I need is a cat in pieces. My old neighbours totally understood when I spoke to them, they had a cat that used to tease my old dog, the spikes saved any upset.
I'm amazed by this, our garden was a regular meeting point of all the neighbourhood cats (including ours), but since we got a dog last year I haven't seen a single cat inside our rear garden boundary (including ours hehe)

She's been quite the deterrent!

Their cat used to walk the fence with a smug look, it did once jump down into garden unaware of my dog sunning himself, it rapidly left. They now have a dog as cat passed away, none of the neighbouring cats come close to us, think the additional dog has scented up the area
