Its nice to see so many people love their pets.
I tend to love animals more than I do people.
Did you find any sheep on the other side of the hedge? wink

I have to say though I'd love to have a lab, but can't look after it due to working hours. So have settled for a cat....which if I'm honest is no where near to having a dog

Couldn't and wouldn't sell any of my dogs or cats, they really are priceless.

What ever happened whilst I was hedgecutting, stays strictly between, me that sheep, and an unfortuante passing Bunny.

That can depend on the cat. There are some cats out there that have amazing characters and can be very entertaining and loyal as a result. (I know as I have one like that!)

Me too.

And Loopy, superb pics and lovely moggies. Reminds me so much of my first ever cat.

My 2 rats cost me £8 I think and I wouldnt sell them now for any price, love them to bits.

Same goes with the horses, couldnt let them go.

People who dont have pets often dont seem to understand the bond people have with their animals.

I think a lot of people have such bonds with their pets because a pet is 100% genuine, they don't tell lies, when they show affection it is real, they are also very relaxing to be around after a stressful day.

There is nothing I could be offered for her that'd make me sell.

Honestly I would rather give up driving than sell my Springer. I wouldn't take a blank cheque, a bottomless current account, nothing.

I've had 3 Maine Coon Cross sibling cats for about three months now. Nothing would make me part with any of them, they simply make my little family complete.

Our two Golden Retrievers are our family. A dog is for life not just for Christmas !!

Many years ago I was loaned a horse by some family friends he was 16 - 17 years old at that stage. They had just turned down a genuine 8k offer for him. He wasn't that fit or a competition horse.

no way.

My dog cost me nothing, he is a mongrel (German Shepherd/Lab) found by a dustbin when he was about 6 weeks old.
In the early years he was a one dog demolition team! He now takes up a whole sofa and sometimes three quarters of my bed.

I would not trade him for anything.
I depend on him more than any other living being.

He is sick now and I am doing everything I can to keep him comfy, dreading the day I have to make that call!

It did cross my mind. But she was fully trained and that takes 18 months by which time you get attached. If you don't get attached you can't train them.
It's very much a two way process.

Agreed. Money can't buy you everything. I think he thought it could.
I did say a few years ago. My wage at the time was £70 per week! Which baffled him even more.
She was a golden working cocker. He had never seen one before and "had to have it".

WRONG
I would have agreed a price, then said I needed a day or two to say goodbye to it properly etc. Then just go out and buy one that looks just like it.

Give him the new dog you're not attached to and cash in!

biggrin

About 6 eggs a week, each. wink

(Of course not! They're brilliant and have such strong personalities. They love attention and always follow you around. Bottom photo is them following me inside while I went to get the camera. They don't understand the phrase "BAD CHICKEN!" though. Training is still in progress.

My pets are priceless, I love them all (3 golden retrievers and a cat).

I can't understand people who could do this to an old dog, it makes me so sad and I hope they find the person responsible.
