A cat's tail

Everything I've read on t'internet suggests that cats only wag their tails when they're a bit annoyed.

Our two will wag their tails when you call them, when you stroke them, pretty much any time.

So, are we annoying them, are they really dogs, or is what I've read bowlocks?

They'll generally only whip them aggressively when they're a bit cheesed. They wag them all the time if mine have been anything to go down. Then again the current one drinks out of the toilet and growls at passers buy from the windowsill so he could well be part mutt.

No, one of ours will swish her tail around almost constantly, regardless of if she's purring or growling......

Our cat is the same - her tail is constantly moving unless she is fast asleep. When we first got her I was a bit concerned as none of my previous cats tails moved much unless they were angry or hunting. But Molly's tail seem to twitch constantly even when she totally content, purring and padding away.

Our fur-ball wafts her tail around all the time.
