Would have been better had it not been so crowded.... I thought we were just the right side of the main season, but it was packed (it was also one of the few really nice sunny days we had down there so it may have been that as well). What surprised me a little about the place is that it seems almost entirely comprised of holiday lets... Nearly every "cottage" was passed on the back streets had something in the window or some little placard with a name and website so you could go rent it. We wondered if anyone actually lived there!

St Ives bay is gorgeous on a sunny day though, the colours are practically tropical.

It's the Mosque at Muttrah, just along the coast from Muscat.
It's also where the Sultan's enormous private yacht is moored...
