I had luck to fly in this a few weeks ago.

We did have the small window open that is just behind the engines. Yes ear defenders are provided for the 45 min flight.

I did not use them. Was having to much fun

When it goes silent whilst you are still airborne is the time to start complaining.

Ha that's always a bonus. Performance and ATR are not often heard in the same sentence, asthmatic POS

Love Southend Airport. It's like the airport time forgot. Tucked away in a residential corner of London with a great rail link.
Since when has Southend ON SEA been in London ?......confused

In today's global environment Southend, East Midlands, Glasgow they are all local to anywhere you are in UK, especially London.

Southend is full of signs boasting how close it is to London. It is close enough.

I assume you have these? Best purchase ever, 100 hours in the air so far this year and wouldn't go a minute without them!

I appreciate none are IN London but Southend is in Essex ,just as Gatwick is in Sussex.

I was born in Thorpe Bay,Southend but not in London.

I can't believe I'm the first to suggest that you should've gone by MX5

I use Flybe for the Aberdeen - Manchester route around half a dozen times a year and their twin props are quite noisy but the flight time is around an hour so it's bearable, I book well in advance so the price is reasonable, worth every penny IMO!

I live in Scotland and pay an interest in politics so having had to listen to Nicola Sturgeon talk never ending amounts of ste has left me well equipped to deal with mindless droning noises

I have a pair, the right phone went after just over 2 years of ownership, a quick google told me this was a fairly common fault so I emailed Bose and they told me to send them in (minus muffs, cable, adapter and case) for immediate free replacement. Great customer service and I agree well worth the money.

Used to fly Eastern from Southampton to Brussels.
As someone else said earplugs were handed round.

I SAID EARPLUGS WERE HANDED ROUND.
