Has any one been, is it better to book here prior to going or to do it whilst there - I'm going next week.
Does any one have any links etc.
I went to Maranello a long time ago with the kids we could only go to the museum the factory was closed, this time I'm going on my own.
Thanks for looking.

The Ferrari museum you don't need to book for, just pay on the door. Lamborghini, last time I went was free and empty of other people, maybe has changed in the 10 years since

I thought you didn't see much on the Ferrari factory tour unless you own a Ferrari. If you don't then I thought you simply get a bus tour around the grounds. If you own a Ferrari then you can arrange it through a dealer and actually get a proper tour around the facilities. I tried when I was there in 2016, but unfortunately it was August holidays when I tried to arrange it so it couldn't be done (factory shuts down).

Museum was good though.

I was treated to both tours for my 40th, earlier this year. Enjoyed both very much. Ferrari only offer factory tours to owners. Also did the museum visit at Enzo's house in Modena, more F1 exhibited there.

If you have time then Pagani is also in Marenello. Try to grab food at Drakes when there, it was Enzo's favourite eatery, and it's sublime.

The museum and factory tours are rubbish. You can see pretty much the same thing at a UK car show. The Ferrari track is like a tiny gokart track and is frankly laughable that they big it up so much.

No you can't. What UK car show have you ever attended where virtually, if not every car Ferrari and Lamborghini have ever made is on show, including concepts and F1 cars?
I didn't do the track, but an Australian lad on the same outing as us had a go round it in a 488, and he enjoyed it.

Usual Yipper rubbish.

I've been to Galleria Ferrari 4 times.
Enzo 's museum 3 times.
Lamborghini twice.
Ferruccio's museum once.

Bla bla bla.

Last time I went it was in 2004 we turned up at the factory but we could only do the Ferrari museum tour, so this time I wanted to plan and do the Lamborghini and Ferrari, so if the Pagani is near by I could do that as well.
I'm looking for links so I could plan my tour.
Thanks for all the replies, so far.

We did both Ferrari museums (maranello and Modena) and the Lamborghini Museum 4 years ago. All worth going to.
Pagani is good too but it’s in the middle of nowhere so make sure you know where you are going. We booked a tour but got lost so arrived half way through. (It might not have helped that I programmed the sat nav with the address of the Lamborghini factory!).
I’m not into bikes but I also enjoyed a tour of the Ducati factory in Bologna.
Have fun!

We went 8/9 years ago.

Wasn't fussed about Ferrari, but e-mailed Lamborghini and Pagani in advance - Lambo got booked on a public factory tour, which was worthwhile and not that pricey. Pagani got a private tour by a lady who introduced herself as Horatio's PA. She apologised but, as we were in Italy the same week as the Goodwood FoS, both Horatio and the new Huayra were in the UK! Still saw the (surprisingly small) workshops where everything was built and clocked a couple of Zondas going in and out for testing.

Ferrari museum* (we went a few years ago - wife's friend's partner works for the Scuderia) is actually pretty good - some stuff I'd never seen before, a huge trophy room, and a nice mix through the years.

* Still not done a factory tour.

The lamborghini factory tour is very interesting, as far as I remember needs to be prebooked, you walk the assembly line (its literally an assembly line as everything is shipped in in crates). Nonetheless interesting to see it all up close. Museum which is small is very interesting.

Didnt manage the ferrari factory tour, but visited the museum. Much more crowded than the lamborghini one.

The zonda place is in between the Laborghini and Ferrari towns, its in an industrial estate, very small operation so doubt you can rock up and have a look. I was tight for time so drove past it and could see activity from outside so worth dropping by.

Did it in the Summer. They're rubbish. Just dusty crumbling postindustrial towns with a tiny factory plonked in the middle.

So the sight of loads of aventador / huracan being assembled (all stages of assembly from suspension laid out to a v12 on a trolley) right in front of your eyes is rubbish?

You wouldn’t know because you are full of ste and everyone on this site knows it. You are one of the only users who has ever had a thread dedicated to them in the feedback section. Even the mods are so sick of your trolling that they won’t lock it.

Unfortunately this thread joins a very long list of;

In the planning stages of this years summer holiday and it's looking like a few days in the Bologna/Modena/Maranello area are on the cards so currently got the 2 Ferrari museums pencilled in for one day, and Lambo and maybe somewhere else pencilled in for another day.
Looking forward to hearing peoples 'real' views wink
Have a few friends that have done the Ferrari factory tour, but they were lucky enough to be doing it as owners, the bus tour that doesn't let you off the bus sounds a bit pants to me.
Might have a chat at the respective local main dealers to see if there's anything they can add. scratchchin
