Most rewarding holiday/tourist destination/attractions?

Alghero in Sardinia, ended up going there due to a family fall out; we had the free use of a villa in Spain, we ended up not going and a last minute change lead us to Alghero, (fortunately flights for Spain hadn't been booked)
Flights and accomodation for 3 to Alghero were the same price as the flights alone to Spain.
Anyway, a glorious place, lovely people, fantastic weather, cheap and fabulous food, not a popular UK tourist destination so none of the usual Brits that you get abroad; we've been twice now.
Thailand, went for the first time in October, amazing food, fantastic scenery, lovely people, ridiculously cheap, we are going again this year in October.
Yorkshire for 5 days with the dogs in the summer, we wanted somewhere with decent walks; looked at the usual, Wales, West Country, Lakes etc and a friend suggested Yorkshire, it was lovely and also cheaper than the other places, the walks and scenery were fantastic and to top it off, the weather was amazing and back home in Surrey it pissed with rain all week.
