I'm currently trying to plan a rather convoluted journey and am slightly concerned about making my flight.

The ferry docks at 0800 on a weekday- any ideas on how long I should allow for getting to Schipol, parking and getting to the terminal. Google suggests it's about a 45 minute drive but that seems a bit optimistic given Amsterdam's reputation for traffic!

The A4 can get pretty busy once you get there as the road from the Hoek is single line road.
I would allow an hour at least but traffic / weather is unpredictable.

If your going back on the ferry can you not leave the car in the Hoek and go on the train to Schiphol ?

Flying back into Schipol with a lot of luggage (and a dog!) hence needing to take the car all the way over.

The flight I was looking at is at 1110 which seems a bit tight although I'll be on my own with hand luggage. No idea how long it even takes to get off the ferry so might have to rethink.

Sometime I've got off the ferry in minutes and sometimes hours. It mostly depends if the NL plod are breath testing every driver or not . . .

Hmm, probably won't risk it then.

Long trek round by Calais seems the safer option unfortunately.
