laugh read my post you fool - I said I don't mind Cornwall, which I don't, been there many times in my younger years, it's OK. My comment was on the quality of the pictures posted trying to disprove the 'grey and soulless' comment (not mine!) - which both pictures failed miserably to do.
Just ‘Ok’, would be massively at odds with the views of millions of people who go there each year. But I’m sure you know best.

Pembrokeshire is a great alternative to Cornwall for unspoilt rugged coastlines.

Hahaha - yes because Camborne and Redruth are overrun with millions of tourists each year! Does anyone ever read any posts on this web site any more?

Millions of people buy The Sun every day, that don't make it anything other than a down-market rag.

1. Only an idiot would judge the whole Duchy based on a residential area of a town. Would you judge New York as ‘ok’ based on a downtown residential street?

2. He didn’t say “Camborne is ‘ok’”. He said “Cornwall is ok”.

Maybe it’s you that is struggling to read the posts that they are responding to?!

Redruth and Cambourne have quite a history, it is not just about pretty seascapes. Spent many a night in the Penventon working in that area and it does have a certain charm. As long as you do not go down Poldarks Mine.Cambourne has that mine museum and that is quite good for an appreciation. I would not wipe them off the visiting list.

Mind you, The Blue Anchor in Helston that does Spingo and a pasty. Absolutely superb. Not been there a while though, off the pop now.

Not really. His original post was about the photos from Camborne and Redruth, you then waded in with your millions of people can't be wrong comment and I responded to that. No-one's judging the whole of Cornwall based on Camborne and Redruth, they're judging Camborne and Redruth based on Camborne and Redruth.

If that’s the best you’ve got (and after being asked for it) then you’re not selling it to me.

Fields and trees, brill hehe

I bet Had ham has those to show too. Can’t. Wait.

Apparently his idyllic Hertfordshire rural view is more colourful.
Exactly what colours he expects to see in a rural view that could possibly surprise us, I don't know.
There's green, and some more green and err...oooh, there's a bit of green over there too.

I like Cornwall but I prefer Devon to live as it has (to my mind) almost all the advantages with a lot less disadvantages (the main one being the time to get out of Cornwall to go anywhere else).

We were offered the opportunity to move to Truro with my wife's work but turned it down due to it adding another two hours on going back to Sheffield to see my family.

If I had a big lottery win and could retire I'd probably pick a small village\town in the South Hams. Somewhere like Kingsbridge.

I know what you mean about the time to get out of Cornwall but surely making it harder to get to Sheffield is a distinct advantage?
