Places emanating from Roscoff - 3 night tour in my e-type
Discussion
What are you looking for - places to stay or things to see?
For places to stay, are you looking for luxury? good food? rustic? cheap? traditional French?
I'm planning something similar in September, but starting in St Malo and after a few days of random google searches I came to the conclusion that the Relais Chateaux hotels were the ones that suited me. One in Roscoff itself (Brittany and Spa) and one in the middle of nowhere called Hotel De La Plage.
I haven't been yet.

Anywhere along the south Brittany coast from Guilvinec to Concarneau is good. Quimper is a nice city to see. The German submarine pens at Lorient are worth a visit. Standing stones at Carnac, of course. If that looks like too much to cover (and don't forget the French have lowered their speed limits to 48mph), you could just head east from Roscoff along the Granite Rose coast.
This place is well worth a visit http://www.manoir-automobile.fr/history/ Its huge, situated in a lovely area at Loheac not far from Rennes.
Booked a lovely looking place in Sainte-Marine

Not too far but probably just right for the few days we are there

Brittany is really lovely when the weather's nice - it's basically French Cornwall. Mont St Michel worth a visit. Carnac and many of the other megalithic standing stone sites are great. Even some of the larger towns are quite nice by French standards, I remember Rennes being nice but it's been ages since I went there. IDK how far is too far but working your way down the Atlantic coast maybe as far as La Rochelle has the potential to be most enjoyable.
