Holiday bacon & ship query

Yes two things going through my sun bleached brain!
Why is bacon crap everywhere but UK & USA ?
In Cyprus now it has home bacon and streaky - both crap.
And from my lounger I’ve seen this ship all week - dredger?

You've forgotten baked beans...Heinz of course....completes any meal.
That dredger....you may as well have gone to Southend and watched the dredger off Canvey Island and got your decent bacon.

p.s. It really upsets my wife when she cooks dinner and I bring out the tin of baked beans, I prefer them " au naturelle " cold , straight out the tin.

Had a few days in the S of France earlier this month with some Danissshhhhhh friends. It may surprise you to know that they do not have middle or back bacon in their shops. They cannot get it. They only have the streaky, Us stylie. Gobsmacked or what!

And turkey bacon - blerch!. There's an increasing number of burger places in London who seem to have gone stealth halal. I wish they'd just be honest and then I'd avoid those abortions of bacon burgers although, truth be told, halal or kosher beef ain't much to write home about (with the honourable exception of pastrami and salt beef).

Found good bacon in Australia and Asia. Never tried in South America.

I think you're just in a part of the world that doesn't really eat bacon... or the restaurants you're eating at are just buying crap bacon.
