Athens city break - the best bits ?

Next year, fancy going here to see the Ancient stuff, never been to Greece as I love Italy to much.

Whats your fave bits and why ?

Spend half a day looking around the Acropolis and maybe the old Olympic stadium, then jump on a ferry to Hydra or Aegina for the rest of your holiday.

Acropolis including the museum (museum best visited first), old Olympic stadium and various old monuments.

Changing of the guard at the parliament is quite good.

There is an annual ‘riot’ which marches on the American embassy , best viewed from the Hilton bar (when secured by riot police), sometime in November I recall.

Loads of nice restaurants.

Acropoli but from below / some distance.
Once you are up there the magic goes.
Still nice views.
