For that kind of money, you are looking at Canaries or Balearics, or perhaps Sicily or Malta?

Depends on the level of AI you want.

Voyage Sorgun (hotel name) Its in turkey premium drinks, activities all day for kids quiet adult only areas, quiet family areas or main pool.

Great rooms, great staff, good food. Mostly Russians in the hotel maybe 3-5 English families whilst we were there.

We went with Thomas Cook, got a private transfer for £100 (9 people).

I would not hesitate to go back there for a no hassle family holiday.

Side is great, once you get over all the shops selling knock off everything! And there are a few sites to see plus lots of activities like the usual jet skiing/parasailing etc, or you can do other things like the boat cruise that goes down the river from Manavgat and out into the sea by Side which is friendly for kids and adults - we were allowed to jump off the boat into the sea from a special platform and you could tell all the kids that were on it loved it.

I went to Turkey 25 years ago and wasn't impressed. I will however take a look at this for sure

What do you want out of the holiday?

This place is a 10 Euro taxi ride away from a historical site, apart from that we didn't leave the hotel, the knock off market is huge in turkey so I didn't bother even going to the shops. Went to the local bazaar also 10 Euro taxi away, it isn't traditional and I wouldn't do it again, it would be a nightmare with kids.

To be honest the hotel had everything I wanted, if you want to do excursions then I doubt this is the place to go. If you want the kids entertained and for you to chill out with decent food and drink then this hotel is good.

Have a look at this place in Majorca https://www.seaclub.com/es/ We stayed there this year with our grandchildren, most impressed. Very well run,it concentrates on families with children. Perfect for the whole family, short flight, 40 minutes from the airport.

Been there and done that once. Never again. vomit

But you're more than welcome to find out how revolting the experience is for yourself if you don't believe me. smile

Gloria Golf Resort and Spa, family suites. Belek, Turkey

It’s the 4th hotel we’ve tried in that area (Lara beach, Belek & Side) and the best so far.

Absolutely. Which is why I always stay well clear - and never more so than when in the Canaries
