Here we go ,a little random ,but let's give it a go.

ETA the rules...

The game:
Pick a photo you have taken on your travels to see if anybody can guess where it is. The further off the beaten track the better.

Rules:
- Must be your photo, not nicked off the net.
- The location must be in some way identifiable in the shot (think holiday forum rather than photography forum biggrin)
- Whoever gets it right gets to post one of theirs (or open it up if they want to).
- Wait until the current photo is guessed before adding one.
- When yours is identified, update your post with the answer.
- When guessing, please don't just chuck the photo into an image search tool. There's no fun in that.

Looks quite alpine to me, one of the buildings in the background very similar to southern Germany.

I had to spend 5 minutes on street view to make sure I know exactly where this is.

I'll stay here till midnight and then recommence in the morning.

I'm going to give it to coyft.....

Turn through 180 and you get this.

It's Forte dei Marmi ,on the coast road up towards La Spezia.

And it's not surprising there's lots of marble round there ,as there is lots of mining of it in the mountains overlooking the coast.

Carrara marble is world renowned ,just up the road from here.

Oh dear, what have I stumbled upon. Do I have to upload an image from my travels? Any location?
Not too obscure but anywhere you've been.

Is it yours?

If so, I would say you are being a tad modest....
