Queensland yes, but you need to be heading closer to the Coombabah guess from all the others.

Clue: this place is the largest of its type in the world. Can give another clue after this if no nearer.

Brisbane has an area of Urban mangroves and looks like you took this from a bridge. So Brisbane?

So out to an island, i admit I had to look at my Aussie road map, there is a very obvious one, Long Island aka mangrove island

Fraser Island is the biggest sand island in the world iirc. But (30 years on...) I don't remember mangroves.

I've only been to Frazer Island, Lizard Island, Cairns and Townsville, so am really struggling with this. It doesn't look like Frazer as I remember it.

Fraser is the one. Yes, the largest sand island in the world and interestingly the only place in the world a rainforest grows in sand. Spectacular place.

I did pick a bit of an obscure angle for this one, the usual Fraser pics are like the below on 75 mile beach (yes, I specifically requested the pink Prado)...

Spent a few days there previously and I still didn't recognise the picture! It's not exactly a Big Island. Wonderful place.

We hiked around it, my friend lost a shoe to a dingo that we found again by tracking the footprints!

Someone else have a go as I have nothing to hand.

Looks like a crap prototype mock up of the Lippo Centre left to fall into dilapidation at the back of a scrap yard
