Hi

Looking at Lapland for December and the Canterbury Travel Magical Interlude is coming out top so far.

Does anyone have any first hand experience of Canterbury or any other suggestions?

Any info would be greatly appreciated as it’s something that I really want to get right.

Thanks

I’m interested in a trip Norway/Sweaden/Finland this coming Feb half term.

Worth it then or not?

No experience of Canterbury for it. Can give advice on clothes etc, although i presume you have looked into it.

Welshbeef - is that not just a few days? If so you'll spend a lot of your time travelling to see all 3 in the time available.

We used Canterbury about 10 years ago and they were very good but things may have changed.
We have also been to Lapland a further 3 times over the years and booked everything ourselves as it is so easy and all trips can be booked locally. We stayed in Saariselka the first time and Levi the others.
www.levi.fi is a very good site run by the Levi tourist board and everything except flights can be booked through them.

We used them two years ago and they were bloody brilliant.

From check in at Gatwick to the flight home, everything was geard around making it as much fun for the kids as possible.

The guides we had were fantastic with the kids, which I guess is pot luck.

I would happily use them again.

I used to have a mate who lived in Lapland, when I visited him I sometimes went via Sweden, getting the overnight ferry from Stockholm to either Helsinki or Turkku. You don't lose any useful time doing this, as you're asleep for the travelling. Similarly, I've used the overnight sleeper trains to get to/from Lapland, haven't done it for a few years but recall they were a bit dated, but cosy and comfortable.
