Flying to New York - can I take my CBD oil?
Discussion
I'm travelling to New York next week, and over the past 2 months I've been taking CBD oil to help with knee pain as well as anxiety. It dawned on me today that I'm not even sure if I can legally take the oil with me to New York from London as it's bought over the counter and does (as with all of them I think) contain trace elements of THC. Several websites are contradictory. Some say it's allowed some say it's not, and none of them actually mention security in London. It all just seems to be about internal flights in America.
So I'd like to know if I can take the oil with me to New York flying from London? I think I'm flying with Virgin?

I went to New York recently, I take CBD but didn't take it with me, my intention was to buy it if I needed it, but I have a herniated disc and the pain reduces the more I move, the amount of walking, stairs and moving about I did meant I was fine.
New York is of stairs, so if you have a bad knee then id suggest buying something stronger once you get there, codeine or whatever.

It is legal here in NY - as it is in many states - but certain types are still illegal federally if it exceeds a specific THC content even if it is legal here locally (a weird quirk of state vs federal law), so anything exceeding that content can't be brought into the country.
If you are unsure of your content, no issues buying it here and no shortage of places, with the bonus of it being significantly cheaper and generally better than the UK.

I am currently living overseas and I always travel with mine. I have been to the states and back several times with it. I had a layover at JFK and the dogs even sniffed my purse and kept moving. I have traveled through Italy, Germany, Morocco, Paris and the states and never had any problems.
Cbd is easy to find in the states, if you don’t want to take it through the airport.

Its really not something to recommend without adding the line "check the local laws first though"Cbd is easy to find in the states, if you don’t want to take it through the airport.
Some countries like japan dont care if its cbd or not, from memory not too long ago a guy got 4 years for either trying to enter with it, or order it.
And watch what pics are on your phone. Student refused entry to USA at border control in Dublin airport for a picture on his phone of him smoking a joint.

There is something wrong with that story. Its not possible to tell what someone is smoking from a photo unless he admitted it. But even so what ever he was smoking was years previously and is a different country. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/edition/scotland/us-ban...
