Hi OP, I organised a stag do for my mate in Barcelona. We based it around the Primavera which is a relaxed festival over quote an expanse of land by the port.

Another thing that really kicked things off nicely, was to book a spa for the first day/afternoon. The superlative spa in Barcelona is 'Aire de Barcelona' where they have a roman theme going on and massages.

Take sensible precautions for pick pockets - spread your cash and card, no ostentatious jewelry, don't believe anyone wants to be your mate so don't allow them to touch you...even the good looking ones). Two of my mates got dipped - one by little kids wanting "to play football" and one by Zelda from terrahawks asking for a coffee and a hug. I liked to think my mates weren't muppets, but Barca proved me wrong smile

Las Ramblas is a bit of a pit but if you've not been to Barcelona before, there are some lovely squares just off it for tapas and quieter drinks.

The beach area is a good shout. A decent variety of bars for all tastes.

During the day, Parc Guell and the Sagrada are must visit things IMO. Bus tour is worth doing when you first get there (if you arrive in the morning) - will give you the lay of the land and the things you may want to visit.

Watch for dog st *everywhere*. I've been numerous times and there's always been more dog st than pavement.

If you happen to end up in Bagdad Cafe and see a viking helmet in there, can you take a photo and PM me it please biggrin

And adjust your body clock immediately on arrival...things don't get going there until 10pm.
