I fancy going here as a solo traveller in March and unsure whether it's a good place to visit. Was in Puerto de Carmen last year.

I'd like to stay somewhere close as possible to the beach and promenade and not too rowdy. Activities such as cycling, running, sea swimming and maybe a beer in the evening.

I can flights for circa €210 - is it cheaper to book these separately or go for a package?

Would be grateful for any suggestions where to stay and any other tips?

Second this. We were in Costa Adeje over the new year and were really impressed.

I’ve been to PDLA / Costa Adeje that many times I’ve lost count.

PDLA has the bars where you’ll find 18 year olds / hen and stag dos.

Costa Adeje you generally wont find that.

I generally stay in the area where Iberostar Bouganville/ Las Dalias/ Hovima La Pinta / Hovima Santa Maria are and can recommend them all.
Las Dalias is all inclusive though so you might not like that kind of thing.
I generally visit in December/ January and sometimes in July and August.

The beaches located north of Puerto Colon are the nicest.

If you want something a little different there is a lovely beach bar between costa adeje and la caleta called coqueluche. It’s the beach where the paragliders land coming down from the mountains. Could try the paragliding if you’re feeling brave. Otherwise sit in the slightly hippy beach bar, enjoy some early evening live music and a beer or 3. Walk (or cycle) along the path to la caleta where there is a nice fishing harbour and some fab restaurants. La caleta/ Adeje definitely quieter than pdla, but 10 to 20 minutes walk from Adeje in both directions then you have the choice of younger nightlife type resort or quieter restaurant scene
