Any frequent NYC visitors - hotel recommendation

Looking for hotels recommendations for a visit in August. 2 adults and a 14 year old.

Budget under £2800 for the week. Needless to say Tripadvisor reviews vary greatly on each hotel.

Have a look at The Benjamin on the corner of Lex/50th - They do 1-bedroom suites with sofabed in the lounge - Very central and a decent hotel - Excellent breakfast at the diner a couple of doors down
